  • Social media plugins. By providing your social media account details you are authorizing that third-party provider to share with us certain information about you.
  • Publicly available sources such as LinkedIn.

2. How we use your Personal Information?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your personal information with certain third parties, as follows:

  • Regulators and governmental bodies like the CRA, FINTRAC, and other authorities and regulators acting as processors or joint controllers who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances.
  • Marketing parties which are any selected third party that you consent to our sharing your information with for marketing purposes.
  • Any prospective buyer of our business or assets, only in the event that we wish to sell any part of our business or assets.

5.1 Security

We retain your personal information as part of your order to verify payment and shipment, and to respond to your order-related inquiries.

We retain the essentials of your order information for record keeping, accounting, and as long as necessary to comply with tax regulations.

We retain your email for any newsletter subscription until you request for this to be terminated either by contacting us at info@thundercomicscanada.com or by selecting “Unsubscribe” in your newsletter.

We retain the information you provide to create an account with us until you choose to close that account (please contact us to process this request).

Please note that your objection to processing (or withdrawal of any previously given consent) could mean that we are unable to provide you with our services. 6.3 What we need from you to process your requests

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and to enable you to exercise the rights set out above. This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

You will not have to pay a fee to exercise the rights set out above. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances. We will try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

The effects of sharing data to our third-party service providers are to verify that payment has been successfully processed, to ship you your product, to verify that this shipment has taken place, to keep you informed of our company’s plans and events if you have subscribed to one of our newsletters, as well as to hold a minimal level of data for auditing and tax purposes.
